I had the opportunity to go to Chicago to cover an Indian wedding (featured there very soon). I was focused on it when i arrived but i spent several days after to look around and to enjoy the city. Chicago is really different than the others. Starting from the west suburb following the “Des plaines river” to feel how it is in the little village, i tried a breakfast in a “family restaurant”.
I always consider to feel something and to learn about in a country is to live with people and not to run until the first museum. Mainly in the street, making a stop to look to the people, to pay attention to the life around. How they walk (stressed or not??), what they eat… One of the good way is to take the metro, then i walk straight, probably i will be lost… I use the Metro to come back after a stop to try a local bier.
